Credo sia essenziale per una persona conoscere cose che ritiene utili per se stesso, anche se in alcuni casi si crede nell'utilità ma in effetti è solo una curiosità fittizia di inutile futuro, ma questo è compreso nel pacchetto, molto personale, che noi chiamiamo conoscenza, che non è solo la parola altisonante ma una serie di percorsi che la mente ti sceglie personalizzandoli.

I think it is essential for a person to know things that he considers useful for himself, even if in some cases he believes in usefulness but in fact it is only a fictitious curiosity of useless future, but this is included in the very personal package that we call knowledge, which is not only the high-sounding word but a series of paths that the mind chooses you by personalizing them.

Mi sono sempre chiesto, molto semplicemente in modo nudo e crudo, se quello che so, che ho appreso, curiosità comprese, non sia stato il mio cervello a farmele sceglierle. Da qui ne consegue un doveroso ampliamento, in separata sede, che anche ognuno di voi può fare: sono veramente io che scelgo o il mio cervello mi offre molteplici opportunità, scarta di suo quelle meno adatte, e mi instrada in quelle più consone alla mia persona, dandomi, di fatto, un scelta "ristretta" o "limitata"?

I've always wondered, quite simply in a naked and raw way, if what I know, which I learned, curiosities included, was not my brain that made me choose them. From here it follows a necessary expansion, separately, which each of you can also do: it is really me who chooses or my brain offers me multiple opportunities, do you discard the less suitable ones, and guide me in the ones best suited to my person, giving me, in fact, a "restricted" or "limited" choice?
